Technovation Curriculum Workshop!
This workshop prepares teachers, coaches, or anyone interested in being a team's primary mentor to successfully complete the Technovation Challenge 2017.
Topics include:
- What is Technovation?
- Addressing the Intangibles:
- Recruiting
- Scheduling
- Device information
- Working with mentors
- Motivation & workload
- Teaching brainstorming / ideation
- Teaching MIT App Inventor
- Teaching business planning
- Pitching 101
- Preparing for the Showcase and further competition
The class will be taught by two experienced Technovation coaches, Padmaja Bandaru from the Advanced Math & Science Academy Charter School (AMSA) and David Petty of Winchester High.
Licensed teachers can get PDP credits from UMass Boston for completing this workshop.

FAQs
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
Cimpress is easily accessed via 95, and there's lots of free parking at the building.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No, printed tickets are not necessary.
Will food and drink be provided?
It is recommended that participants bring a refillable water bottle and any snacks they may like to have with them. A light breakfast will be served upon arrival and lunch will be served midday.
